KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX- Guide | How to Defeat Trickmaster

The Trickmaster is a peculiar boss fight that you'll have to encounter in Wonderland within the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. This particular fight is not the easiest when you factor in how difficult it gets to land shots at times.

It’s important that you know you can utilize the furniture present in the room and know how to work with your surroundings to have success in the boss fight. This guide will explain how.

Like a lot of bosses in the game, Trickmaster also has his weaknesses. Trickmaster can only take damage from his torso, so your main goal throughout the fight should be to hit the spot as consistently and as much as you can.

One way is that you can stand directly under Trickmaster, do little jumps while you’re underneath him, and then attack using your Keyblade; this method can work throughout the fight, but it also comes with its own limitations.

One of its primary limitations is that during the Trickmaster’s juggling attack, there is a chance of you getting clipped and being taken down, making it fairly risky to do this method reliably.

The better approach in dealing with the Trickmaster would be by using the furniture within the room (the tables and chairs present in the room) and by jumping from one platform to another to reach the boss, and then hacking your way through the torso. Doing so will buy you time to do a full combo before falling back down.

This is a safer method that lets you make repeated attacks without risking being constantly underneath the boss.

After the Trickmaster takes enough hits, he’ll momentarily fall over and drop HP Orbs that you should utilize. Before doing so, you’ll want to use that moment to land in as many combinations as you can, whilst the Trickmaster struggles to recover.

As the fight progresses, the Trickmaster will jump on top of the stoves and ignite his juggling pins and use them to attack. The first attack is going to be a slow fireball; these are tricky to deflect, but with proper timing, they can be knocked back. Your best bet is to Dodge Roll for most cases to avoid being hit.

You’ll be able to extinguish the juggling pins by using the Blizzard spell. Doing so will earn you additional tech points and can even drop MP orbs. Be sure to time the spells well, though. 

With a proper movement strategy and knowing the right places to attack at the correct times, the Trickmaster fight can be properly dealt with.
