Mina the Hollower Guide | How to Get the Map

Navigating the world of Mina the Hollower can be a real brain teaser because there is no map system. You can no longer depend on a digital layout to keep you informed, but must learn the terrain, remember hidden paths and keep track of treasures out of reach.

This disorientation can make the first few hours of the trip feel like you are lost, particularly on the first day. Luckily, there is a general world map that can guide you in getting your bearings even if the way to get it is obscure.

In this guide you'll learn how to find this helpful tool and how to get the merchant to unlock it.

In the Southern Outskirts, Infiltration is Possible

You enter the Hollower's Guild to the right of the main entrance to Ossex, and from there you can start your journey to the map. The front doors have been totally blocked with heavy rubble, which can be easily navigated around.

 Go to the back right side of the building, hop over the fence and seek a clear entry. When you enter the inner area, you can dig under the rear wall to discover more. This will be quickly realised, however, that the entire guild hall is in shambles and requires cleaning up prior to being able to locate the map merchant.

The headquarters needs to be fixed up, but the first step is to go out on a rescue mission to find an ally they've lost. Go far south of Ossex in the Southern Outskirts and find a unique purple outpost that has hostile forces around it. A Kear is required to enter the outer courtyard, beyond the gate.

Once the enemies protecting the outside are defeated, you will have to give up one of your valuable Plasma Vials to open the main doors and enter the insides of the structure. If you're underpowered, you should think about coming later to this location if your health pool is not high enough. This infiltration should be done with Attack level 3 or higher.

Rhene and the Key to the Map are Rescued

The purple outpost is a challenging linear mini-dungeon that can be found inside. Here, you should look for and rescue Rhene, another Hollower who has been captured and imprisoned. After defeating the rooms, and then reaching their location, you must treat their wounds with another Plasma Vial, adjacent to them. After patching them up, escort them safely out of the dangerous building. Your companion will respond, "Thank you" and then go back to the main unit.

Once rescued, go back to the Hollower's Guild and watch the results of your work. You will discover that Rhene has completely spruced up the premises and restored it to its former glory. This is a cleansing process that reveals a certain area of green dirt on the floor. Dig up this place and discover the secret character that controls the world map. When unearthed this merchant will ask you for a lot of Bones to sell you the map. Once you buy the high price, you will be able to check map any time you go to your own hideaway.
