PEAK is divided into five distinct biomes, each offering its own set of challenges. From calm coastal beginnings to the fiery heart of a volcano. Every stage tests endurance, planning, and teamwork.

This guide will walk you through how to survive and progress through each level efficiently.

The Shore

The Shore serves as the game's tutorial and introduction to survival mechanics. You have to begin by locating the backpack and filling it with as much food and water as possible.

These essentials will sustain you through later challenges. Be cautious when exploring, as jellyfish in the water can cause injury, and the glowing purple plants on the cliffs are hazardous as well.

The key item in this stage is the Rope Cannon. Finding it early makes the movements much easier across future biomes. The Rope Cannon can be used to create climbing paths or shortcuts.

This makes it an invaluable tool throughout the rest of the game. You have to focus on mastering its use before moving on to tougher regions.

The Tropics

After you leave the shore, the adventure continues in the dense and humid jungle of the Tropics. This biome is filled with twisting vines, hidden ledges, and poisonous plants.

Navigation here can feel like a maze, so take time to observe your surroundings and use the Rope Cannon effectively to cross large gaps.

Food is easier to find here, but not all plants are safe to eat. Some colorful mushrooms can restore energy, while others are toxic.

You must refer to the survival guide obtained on the Shore to identify which are edible. Proper stamina management is important, as climbing and swinging between vines consumes energy quickly.

Alpine

The Alpine biome brings a sharp change in temperature. The freezing mountain winds and blizzards are constant threats, and exposure rapidly drains your stamina.

Heat packs or hand warmers are essential here to prevent frostbite. Setting up campfires whenever it's possible provides warmth and a place to recover.

The terrain here is very slippery and steep, with patches of dark blue ice that are especially treacherous. You have to avoid these areas to prevent falls. With careful exploration, hidden hot springs can be found scattered around the area.

These act as natural recovery points and sometimes even host friendly capybaras. Keeping your body heat stable is the key to surviving this level.

Caldera

The setting for this level is deep within an active volcano. It is a dangerous environment with continuous lava flows and small ledges.

Here, the primary goal is avoiding plunging into the molten pools below while navigating across hazardous cliffs. This level isn't as focused on climbing as the others. Balance and lateral mobility are essential instead.

Because supplies are so limited, it is important to bring adequate food and healing supplies from the Alpine zone before you arrive.

Timing and patience are necessary for crossing since the lava rises and falls regularly. Before making any dangerous jumps or climbs, wait for the lava to cool down. This is where a single error can trigger a full restart.

The Kiln

The Kiln is the final and most challenging level in PEAK. This stage is a vertical climb up the volcano's core, demanding precise coordination and teamwork. There are few supplies, little room for rest, and almost no checkpoints. Every move counts.

Long climbs rapidly deplete energy, so saving stamina becomes essential. To save energy and go to higher platforms, use advanced techniques like the Double Grab Lunge and Neutral Jump.

Teammate communication also has a significant effect. Taking turns climbing and exchanging healing supplies can increase the group's chances of succeeding.

Everything learned in earlier stages is put to the ultimate test in the Kiln. It blends cooperation, endurance management, and environmental risks into a single, last push for the top.

When you finish it, you will have a thorough understanding of PEAK's climbing and survival methods.

Finally, always look for hidden resources such as food, heat sources, or other paths. Carefully managing your stamina can prevent disastrous falls if you run out in the middle of a climb.

To get ready for later difficulties, practice using climbing equipment like the Rope Cannon and Piton early in the game. Timing and collaboration are equally as crucial as competence.
