Titan Quest II Guide | Storm Blade Build
Here's a guide on how to set up your Storm Blade Build in Titan Quest II.
Game Guide by Ragib Rawnak on Aug 07, 2025
The goal of this build is to get the most out of how well Ice Shards and Shadow Dagger work together.
Using the many projectiles that Ice Shards make, you can reliably use the Preparation aura from the rogue tree to cause Shadow Dagger procs in Titan Quest II.
The build is based on getting a lot of critical hits so that the Shadow Dagger always works, and it also does a good job of scaling both cold and poison damage.

Built Overview
Your main plan is to stack critical chance, critical damage, and spell damage to make both skills stronger at the same time. Core Mechanics and Scaling Ice Shards is your base skill, but when you mix it with Shadow Dagger triggers, it shines.
Shadow Dagger does poison damage and works like other rogue abilities as a spell, but its exact tags are still unknown.
The tooltip doesn't show your critical hit numbers or Shadow Dagger information, so your real performance is better than what it looks like on paper.
If you want regular Shadow Dagger procs, you should put critical chance above all other stats. With each crucial hit from your Ice Shards, you might get more Shadow Dagger attacks in Titan Quest II.
Your raw damage can be boosted by critical chance, critical damage, general increased damage, spell damage, and cast speed. Extra damage from cold or poison is helpful, but ailment power is even better because all of your critical hits cause ailments all the time.
Distribution of Attributes
You assign attributes in a certain way to get the best results for both types of damage. Both Resolve (cold damage) and Cunning (poison damage) gain 3 points for every point spent on Knowledge.
Vigor only adds 2 points to each type of damage, but it does heal your character. Maintain a 2:1 balance, with Knowledge being more prevalent than Vigour.
The slight damage decrease from this split is no longer noticeable, and the extra health makes it much easier to stay alive. With this spread, you can handle most boss strikes and quickly heal through leech mechanics.

Storm Skills
Give Ice Shards 17 points, with 1 point for Homing, 1 point for Torrent, 3 points for Chaos, 1 point for Projectile Penetration, and 4 points for Infused Shard in Titan Quest II.
This is your only skill that does damage when you're finishing or fighting a boss. The setup creates 18 shards that can return to their source and cause more damage with the energy they've saved.
Your shards successfully track back to single targets, and one point in Homing gives you the best performance without losing any of its benefits.
Torrent raises the number of projectiles, and Chaos changes the way damage is dealt. Projectile Penetration makes sure that your shards can hit multiple enemies at once, and Infused Shard changes the amount of damage it does based on how much energy you have saved up.
Put seven points into Storm Nimbus and five points into Storm Enhancement. This does 60% cold damage for a short time and saves 90 energy, which increases Ice Shard damage through the Infused Shard factor.
The saved energy stops being a cap and starts doing more damage.
For movement, put two points in Blink and one point in Engage. You can use this to move around the map or avoid boss moves like jumps and waves.
You can also take one point in Repeat instead of Engage if you'd rather.
Required Skills
Raging Mind gains critical chance and cast speed when 12 points are spent on it.
This passive increases the speed and damage of casting spells, and the extra feat unlock gives it a higher chance of a critical hit. This set directly helps you scale both your Ice Shards and Shadow Daggers in Titan Quest II.
Put 5 points into Storm Guidance, mainly to make Homing work better. This makes sure that your Ice Shards hit their targets more consistently and gives you more chances to use the Shadow Dagger.

Attack Skills
Put 7 points into Preparation and 5 points into Shadow Dagger. Through critical hit triggers, this makes it possible to do more damage. For this system to work well, you only need to pay attention to key chance investments.
Enemies also get plagued when you use Shadow Dagger. With 18 shards that bounce once and a 20% chance to hit for a critical hit, you can expect about 5 Shadow Dagger procs per cast.
When these hits hit together, they stun those who are moving in Titan Quest II.
You might want to add points to Enhanced Critical Hits as you level up. This saves at least 115 energy, which increases the damage of Ice Shards even more through Infused Shard scaling and gives critical hit benefits.
Mark For Death and Weaken both get one point. Bosses with this mark take 10% less damage and deal 10% more vitality damage. You can take most attacks that don't kill you right away because the vitality harm gives you life leech.
This one-point investment is very valuable and gets the passive Dismantling Tactics for boss fights.
You should give 17 points to Vanish, with 5 points going to Enhanced Critical Hits, 4 points to Enhanced Duration, and 1 point to Burstoff Speed.
Vanish is the primary skill you'll use to move around the map. It gives a big chance to hit critically, a critical damage increase, and faster casting speed during boss fights.
The 10-second time limit is usually enough for most boss fights.
Additional Skills
With 12 points, you can improve your accuracy and get a higher chance of a critical hit. This passive gives you more damage overall and a much better chance of getting a critical hit.
The build should receive more consistent critical hits than it does from larger essential damage values in Titan Quest II.
Put 12 points into Deft Hands to increase the chance of a critical hit, your attack speed, and your cast speed.
This follows the trend of general damage increases, but this time it makes critical hits more consistent and casts faster.
Spend 12 points on Shadow Arts to improve your chance of a critical hit and your cast speed.
This passive boosts spell damage, critical hit chance, and cast speed, all of which are important for the success of your build.

Plan for Fighting
Your main goal in battle is to keep your critical hit rate high so that Shadow Dagger effects always happen.
By casting Ice Shards, you can make many weapons that will seek targets and bounce once.
Every critical hit could bring out Shadow Dagger strikes that do poison damage and add more Plagued stacks.
When you use Mark For Death on top targets, like bosses, you can deal more damage while taking less. You stay healthy during long battles thanks to the life leech from vitality harm.
Use Vanish before fighting tough opponents to increase your chances of getting a critical hit in essential situations.
Your Storm Nimbus always does more cold damage, and the energy you save boosts Ice Shards through Infused Shard in Titan Quest II.
Both skills deal cold and poison damage together, which is suitable for both boss damage and clear speed. When positioning gets tricky, Blink gives you ways to get away.
