Here's a guide to getting Silk Thread in Winter Burrow.

Silk Thread is an important material in Winter Burrow, used to craft Silk Yarn, which you need for warmer clothing and upgraded gear.

You can search for Silk Thread early on, but using a stronger tool, such as the Flint Ax, makes gathering it easier. You can get Silk Thread in two ways: by defeating Spiders or by collecting it from Spider Webs found on trees.

Finding Spiders

To locate Spiders, move east from Willow. Continue past the Rowanberry Tree and enter the next zone. In this area, you can move north, east, or south, and you will frequently encounter Spiders in Winter Burrow.

When fighting a Spider, strike a few times, then step away and circle so it cannot charge directly toward you. Once your stamina increases again, move in for more hits. Repeat this pattern until the Spider is defeated.

After the fight, the Spider drops Spider Meat and may also drop Silk Thread, which appears on the ground as small spools.

If you prefer not to see Spiders, you can disable them in the settings. When Spiders are turned off, they appear as black Ants instead, but still drop Spider Meat and Silk Thread when defeated in Winter Burrow.

Finding Spider Webs

If you want to gather Silk Thread without fighting, search for Spider Webs attached to trees. When you see a web on a tree, you can either cut the tree down to collect both the wood and the Silk Thread, or strike the web directly if it hangs low enough.
