General of the North – Ai Nengqi is a boss encounter you'll face in the Cloud Spire – Rebel Camp. This boss uses a combination of melee attacks and ranged arrow strikes during combat.

You'll need to get a key and navigate through the camp's pathways to reach him in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

The battle requires you to stay close and maintain pressure while managing his jumping attacks and arrow volleys.

Location and Access

You'll find General of the North – Ai Nengqi in the Cloud Spire – Rebel Camp. Before you can reach the boss, you need to obtain the Rebel Camp Key.

Go to the area in front of the shrine and defeat the armored soldier to loot the key. Once you have the key, go down the ladder located to the left of the shrine and follow the left pathway in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Use the Rebel Camp Key to unlock the gate on your left side. This will allow you to access the boss encounter.

Preparation and Build Requirements

Your weapon choice is key to succeeding in this fight. An axe is the best weapon type against Ai Nengqi. Before you engage the boss, spend all available skill points in the Axe skill tree to boost your Strength and Vitality stats in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

In the left skill tree, buy the Bone Needle – Leech ability. This will be important for your survival strategy.

It's recommended that your character be level 40 or higher to defeat this boss. If you are not level 46, then exploring the surrounding areas can easily get you to level 46 without any dedicated farming.

Make sure to explore every corner and side area before facing the boss to ensure you're leveled appropriately.

Combat Strategy

At the start of the fight, equip the Temperance item in your quickslot. Use it to apply the Lifeleech buff to your axe.

This buff is key to your survival strategy during the encounter. Your main tactic is to stay close to Ai Nengqi and keep up constant pressure with either charged heavy attacks or quick attack combos.

The Clash effect kicks in when you execute charged heavy attacks or hit the third strike in a quick attack sequence.

This effect blocks most incoming damage, giving you substantial defensive benefits while you attack in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

When combined with the Lifeleech buff, each successful hit heals you, letting you recover faster than the boss can inflict damage.

Maintain proximity to Ai Nengqi throughout most of the fight, continuously attacking with your chosen combination of heavy or quick strikes.

The only time you should create distance is when the boss jumps away to fire arrows at your position.

During these moments, use dodge maneuvers to avoid the projectiles, then immediately close the gap to resume your melee assault in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Victory against General of the North – Ai Nengqi provides several valuable rewards. You'll receive the Flamebringer longsword, one White Jade Dumpling, the Seven Treasure Rosar, which upgrades Tao Qing's shop, and the Echo of Ai Nengqi spell.
