Here’s how you can easily beat Master Raider in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Game Guide by Faviyan Mustafiz on Jul 28, 2025
This guide explains how to defeat the game’s very first boss, Master Raider, by focusing on disciplined dodging, timing, and maintaining distance during his more devastating attacks.
You will learn how to manage each phase of the encounter using core moves and simple tactics that will benefit you throughout the rest of the game.
Recommended Preparation

There is no elaborate setup required for this early encounter. However, if you find yourself struggling, you should take time to level up through early‑game XP farming.
A higher level will make the fight smoother and ensure you have the stamina and damage output needed to execute the tactics described below.
Phase One: Dodging and Discipline
During the opening part, the most important thing is to get good at timing your dodges. When Master Raider attacks, you have to avoid it and then fight back right away.

The key move here is Discipline, which delivers a fast kick and automatically retreats you out of harm’s way.
After executing Discipline, you can follow up with light slashes to chip away at his health. Avoid overcommitting—each time you close in, Master Raider responds with a ground‑slam follow‑up that inflicts significant damage if you remain in range.
Phase Two: Fire Attacks
Once Master Raider reaches approximately two‑thirds of his health, he introduces fire attacks.

Any visible flame or ember effect indicates an imminent AoE explosion—often referred to as the Fireworks Explosion. When you see these cues, immediately create distance between you and the boss to avoid the blast radius.
Phase Three: Flaming Weapon
Master Raider comes back with a weapon that is on fire after the fire phase. Avoid his swings, use Discipline to counter, and stay aware of any flame signs quickly are all still good strategies from Phases One and Two.
If you can dodge behind him, you’ll gain opportunities for additional kicks and slashes.

Remember that any time you spot a larger fire effect, such as glowing embers on his weapon or ground, retreat briefly—better safe than sorry.
