Take-Two Signs Partnership With OneTeam and NFL Players Association

New football game from 2K Games will include official NFL players

Back in March 2K and the NFL confirmed a multi-year partnership but offered little information about the future projects that will take advantage of this deal. Today, Take-Two Interactive confirmed a new partnership with OneTeam and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). With the company now available to include NFL players in multiple football games that will launch in 2021-22.

In an official press release:

“We’re thrilled to be working with the NFLPA and OneTeam to bring the biggest and best stars in football to the games we’re working on,” said David Ismailer, President of 2K. “We want to give fans experiences that are authentic, memorable and fun, and having a roster of real-life sports heroes through the Players Association and OneTeam is a huge part of delivering on that promise.”

As of now, sports titles have become infamous for their predatory systems and recycled assets. With recent Madden titles reusing assets, reducing quality, and increasing monetization. This is shown in dozens of YouTube videos from the community and recently 2K confirmed that the next installment in the NBA 2K series will cost $70 as opposed to $60 for next-gen systems. Which alerted many gamers that game prices will go up but other publishers like Ubisoft have confirmed they will not alter the price.

I guess the inclusion of official players is something but unless the publisher eases on the microtransactions players could be spending more than ever to play their favorite sports games.
