Metal Gear Games Removed From Digital Stores Due to Licensing Issues

Digital Metal Gear games unavailable for purchase

Metal Gear is one of the most beloved franchises of all time but today some devasting news hit. With digital versions of many Metal Gear Solid games removed from digital stores.

Konami,NoobFeed,

This removal is temporary and due to license agreements. The Metal Gear Solid games have a lot of licensed music across all the games so Konami must renew these agreements to keep them available on digital stores. Those familiar with games like GTA are well-aware of this issue as these titles are often removed or altered in future updates because of the music used. Other issues in the past include the removal of specific titles such as Transformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron due to the license running out.

Strange that Konami did not renew the license before this happened but the company promises they will return soon.
