You Can Play Doom's First DLC Pack Without Buying it
id doesn't want to split up the community
News by Grayshadow on Jul 29, 2016
The upcoming Doom multiplayer add-on releases next week and those worried that they'll need to purchase the DLC to play with their friends fret not, id doesn't plan to split the community.
The lastest patch adds a bunch of new items for SnapMap and single-player, more on that here, and a double experience weekend going on now. The biggest addition to the patch regarding the upcoming Unto the Evil DLC is PartyPlay.
With this feature those who party with a player with the DLC content can access the content. Meaning if one person owns the DLC in your party all of you can play.
This is great news for those hoping to continue partying up with friends and strangers.
Doom is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Unto the Evil will launch for all platforms on August 5th.
