The episodic series of Hitman has hit a new milestone, with over seven million unique players participating in the game's content.
After Square Enix and IO Interactive split the future of the Hitman series was left in the air until in June when IO confirmed about going independent and retaining the rights to Hitman. Questions about season 2 have been lingering for much of the community.
In an open letter from CEO Hakan Abrak, he thanked everyone for making Hitman such as success and hinted at new information about the future of the franchise:
"One last thing about our next Hitman game; I want to let you know that we’re making great progress and we have exciting new features and some franchise firsts, which we can’t wait to tell you all about. You’ll have to wait a little longer as we don’t plan to start talking about that until some point in 2018."
Hitman: The Complete First Season is now available for PS4, Xbox One, PX, Linux, and macOS.
