Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is less than two months away and developer The Bearded Ladies have uploaded a four-minute video detailing what the game is about. Game Director Lee Varley and Co-director David Skarin go into a couple of aspects, including how players begin as Dux and Bormin, a duo of Stalkers. Their job is to go out into the Zone looking for scrap and anything that could be useful for the survival of the people back on the Ark, which also acts as the game's hub area. The Ark is where you get to upgrade, purchase and sell items alongside learning about the world's past from the Elder.

The video goes into how Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden blends real time stealth and exploration with XCOM-like turn-based tactical combat, letting players to set up their ambushes in real-time, which also allows tidbits of story to be delivered. The video also discusses the title's mutation system which not only allow characters to grow wings or act as living battering rams, but can also be switched around at any point out of combat. If you've more time on your hands, or are simply more into reading, there's a written post that details things a bit better as well. Based on a Swedish pen-and-paper RPG, Mutant Year Zero releases on December 4th on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
