ARC Raiders Gets Surprise February Update With PvE Event, Balance Changes, and Hotfix
Arc Raiders rolls out a surprise 1.15 update, introducing a cooperative PvE event focused entirely on fighting machines.

Out of the blue, a full title update came out and made big changes to the present experience. When 1.15 came out, it was a material and event drop. It had new patch notes and made it clear that February won't be a slow month. Players now have a lot to do thanks to this surprise release and the other changes that were already planned. It also gives the month a boost.
The main reason for the change is a new event that only lasts for a short time and needs people to work together instead of against each other. The Shared Watch event changes the mood at the top and tells everyone that machines have always been the real enemy, even when rivals show up. The Raiders will not fight with each other during this game.

You won't be killing other people during these events because they are all about PvE.
People are told to make peace with each other and work together instead of complaining outside of the tubes. There is no need to act a certain way just because you live in the Rust Belt. Every year, the Shared Watch is held to remember the reason why people went underground in the first place: to be safe.
We have to fight the ArCs together instead, and killing, helping, or damaging machine enemies can earn us points. There are no rewards for PvP fights here, so the only thing that matters is working together to stay alive and fight. Whether you're going with a friend you trust or someone you don't, make sure you have enough bullets to clear the area first. It starts today and lasts until February 24.
This goes well with the plans for another big change to the content later this month. The event is happening at the same time that the weather is getting better. The Cold Snap map state is now a common thing on outdoor maps once more.
As long as you don't find a place to stay warm, freezing is still a real risk in the Rust Belt. People who are brave enough to go out in the cold get better loot, so the normal balance of risk and return is still there. You can still gather candleberries, but they aren't needed for any events. You can also get snowballs and throw them again, whether you want to be smart or just have fun.
The team says that reports really do help make the experience better and encourages people to do so.
The way the game looks has also changed with this update. Players can now choose from two new sets. You can change these things about your character in more ways, but they don't directly help you play the game. This keeps things moving forward and looks different. Features aren't always more important than looks, but adding them makes the update feel more like a full reset instead of just a patch.
This update has a lot of fixes and improvements, as well as new material. The authors said that the patch notes didn't include all of the changes that were made in earlier updates. They said those mistakes were found in player logs. It is being done better behind the scenes to make sure that patch notes are complete, right, and simple to understand as live operations get better.
Problems with reconnecting after being separated have been fixed on a technical level. This means that annoying session losses happen less often. The tunnel scene at the start of the game didn't always happen, but now it does. This stops players from hacking the game to skip over infill movements without meaning to.
It's no longer possible for trial goal rewards to fail because they ran out of time. Instead, they now give partial rewards when won correctly, and screens at the end of the round that showed wrong merits, XP, or event points have been fixed. Platform icons that didn't match and crafting problems were also fixed, making the game more stable overall.

A lot of changes were made to the utility mix, especially on the Trailblazer.
Its bombs no longer go through walls, and they have less power against big enemies like the Leaper and the Bastion. They do more damage to small enemies, though. This change makes it less powerful than it was before and makes people use it more carefully. Players who don't use the mouse wheel for keybindings no longer have to worry about their weapons rotating at random. It's also easier to handle guns now.
There are some samples that might look bad, but they might work fine in-game. There are times when skill points might not show up correctly on the result screens. For now, the problem can be fixed by starting the game over or switching to a new match. Layering problems in the interface, animation breaks, containers that can't be reached, lost zip lines, and award triggers are all known issues.
This shows that things have gotten better, but more work needs to be done. Not long after the change, something very important took place. There was a duplication bug that was making the game economy less steady. It was fixed with a patch. Some things were being used twice because of the problem, which made the game less fair overall.
The fix was made so that it doesn't need to be downloaded again; it will now do it itself. People are still being watched to make sure there aren't any more odd cases, and anyone who finds any more problems with duplication should report them.
People are still looking into some well-known issues.
The answer doesn't end there. It's clear that developers are looking at sales, item drops, and stocks to try to figure out how the exploit works altogether. If there are major cases of widespread abuse in the next few days or weeks, steps may be taken, such as possible bans. It's a strong but fair message. It talks about how important fair play is and how the community can help by reporting the problem right away.
Overall, this report adds more than what was thought to be a drop in early February. An event where players work together is added, a tough environment is fixed, the balance is changed, long-standing issues are solved, and a key exploit is quickly fixed. Even better, this isn't even the big change for the month. And there are still bigger things to come, like new risks, player projects, and bigger systems. It's clear that there will be more shocks soon.
