Daedalic Updates Point-and-Click To The Whispered World Special Edition

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has updated one of its point-and-click adventures, just for kicks. Starting today, The Whispered World Special Edition is available now through Steam, GOG and things like that.

Its prime new feature is a developer commentary track. Valve made it cool, now Daedalic is using it too. Moreover, the game itself receives an update to the recent version of its Visionaire engine. That means, however, that previous saves will need to be left behind, as the two aren’t compatible. If it’s any solace, previous owners of the game receive the updated version free of charge.

The Whispered World Special Edition costs $19.99 or €19.99, which are totally not equal price tags, so Europeans get shortchanged once more. If you reside in Europe, we highly advise making use of GOG’s single currency model. Both Steam and GOG have a 20% discount running for a limited time as well, so that’s even better.
