Google and Ubisoft Partner for Project Stream
Ubisoft and Google taking massive steps to polish streaming technology

Video games become one of the most enjoyed and accessible entertainment products available today. With that Google and Ubisoft are teaming up to bring streaming games into reality with disruption. This new project is called Project Stream.

Ubisoft and Google are starting off with a massive project as well, the newly released Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft and Google have provided a test stream of the gameplay running at 1080p and 60 fps.
Google's goal with Project Stream is to solve some existing challenges with streaming. Our partnership with them will help drive this work forward by using Assassin's Creed Odyssey as the foundation for the test. The incredible visual fidelity of its world combined with the mechanical demands of being a Spartan mercenary in Ancient Greece make Assassin's Creed Odyssey the perfect candidate to push Project Stream to its limits.
Our teams in Quebec City and our studios around the world that contributed to Assassin's Creed Odyssey are thrilled to be a part of this opportunity to advance Google's research into streaming technology. Only a select few will be participating in Project Stream, but everyone can experience the journey of either Alexios or Kassandra when Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches October 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Streaming holds tremendous potential. Google's Project Stream, the Ubisoft Platform Infrastructure, and the efforts of other companies will help unlock that potential and break down barriers that once prevented many from playing and enjoying our games.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches on October 2nd for Gold Edition holders and October 5th for everyone else.
