Halo 3 Reaches A Billion

Bungie has announced that over a billion games of Halo 3 have now been played online. The milestone was reached last Saturday at 14:36 PM GMT and lasted a total of three minutes and 19 seconds. It was a four player match being played on the Infection game mode. Bungie then went onto state that Halo 2 is still yet to reach this number, and sits on a respectable 798 million matches.

The total time played reaches a staggering 2,023,153,340,764 seconds, or over 64,000 years. That is a whole lot of gaming.

These figures are sure to inspire the teams working on the latest spin-off’s of the popular franchise, including Halo Wars, Halo: Chronicles, and Halo: ODST.
