Halo taking reference from Ubisoft

A new trailer for Halo Infinite just dropped showing off what 343 Industries has been working on since the game's delay last year. Major improvements in the visuals and performance were shown but also showcased a lot of new elements. Including the open world of Zeta Halo, objectives littered around the map, mini-boss fights, and an upgrade system that resembles that of a Ubisoft open-world game.

Halo Infinite,NoobFeed,

Master Chief is shown taking down bases and fighting against the Banished, destroying key locations, locating collectibles, and upgrading himself. Distinct enemies will often show themselves with health bars and unique names that Master Chief will have to take down.

We did get some story elements such as The Weapon working with Chief and being mostly new to battle in general.

Overall the trailer is amazing and highlights the new elements. Again, the developers clearly took inspiration from Ubisoft's many open-world games like Far Cry, Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed. With Chief taking down locations in the open world similar to the busywork provided in Ubisoft's many titles. Let us see if 343 can reduce the mindless nature of those tasks.

Halo Infinite launches on December 8th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
