Marvel's Avengers War for Wakanda Launches August 17th

The next free content update War for Wakanda for Marvel's Avengers has an official release date of August 17th.

The expansion will bring 

Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda will launch on August 17th as a free update to all owners of the core game. In addition to adding Black Panther, the War for Wakanda Expansion also brings with it new Villains, a brand-new environment to explore, new enemies, the Royal Palace Outpost, new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions and more, adding the most content to Marvel’s Avengers since the game’s launch.

This will likely make or break it for the game. Marvel's Avengers has been under a lot of pressure due to it under-performing massively. The game had massive technical problems at launch that took months to address, delayed content, exposing IP addresses of players, and increasing the grind. This coupled with the game's low player count compared to other titles and Marvel's Avengers needs something to get returning players and newcomers to join the fray. Black Panther could be that but we'll have to wait and see.
