Nintendo Won't Be Announcing A New Switch Model Any Time Soon
There may still be an announcement this year, though

There were widespread rumors last month that a Switch Pro may be on the way.
Data miner SciresM found a reference in the consoles latest firmware update to new hardware named Aula.
The data suggested this new Aula hardware may be the Switch Pro - a half-step upgrade anticipated as the next move for Nintendo.
It will reportedly feature an upgraded OLED display, with the data mine referencing support for a RealTek chip which would enable 4k resolution output in some capacity.
According to a recent Bloomberg interview, however: Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa stated that the company doesn't plan on releasing a new console "any time soon".

Of course, it's usual for companies to deny or leave ambiguous the credibility of leaks, and it doesn't mean we won't at least see an announcement this year.
As Bloomberg reporter Mochizuki states in a tweet, last year was a flat out no from Nintendo higher-ups when asked about a Switch Pro release in 2020, so their above stance is far more promising for an announcement this year - even if it's late in the year.
Consumers can currently purchase two variations of the console: the base version which was released in 2017, and the Switch Lite (which doesn't feature a TV dock) released in 2019.
