Launch delayed three weeks

OUYA recently raised $15 million from new investors including Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Mayfield Fund, Shasta Ventures, and Occam Partners, and NVIDIA. The latter of which makes the chips inside of the OUYA.
The OUYA team will use the funds to increase production and support developers making games for OUYA. The consoles founder, Julie Uhrman says "It means we’ve got additional resources to to [sic] make OUYA everything it can be."

Also announced on OUYA's blog was a delay in the launch date. Originally the OUYA was to be available to the public on June 4th, however, the official launch date is now June 25th. Uhrman says, "The demand we’re seeing from gamers and our retailers is beyond our expectations, so, to meet all this demand, we are shifting our launch date by three weeks to give us time to make more OUYAs."
The three week change in launch date will not affect backer's shipments. Kickstarter and OUYA.tv preorders will be shipped out by the end of May.
