Tetris Champion!

This weekend, the first World Tetris Champion has been dubbed at the Los Angeles Downtown Independent Theater. The  Classic Tetris World Championship was organized by former Nintendo World Champion, Robin Mihara but won by Tetris god, Jonas Neubauer.

The 29-year-old loan coordinator beat all his opponents, over 200 contestants, with the  NES version of the game. He took out another Tetris expert, Harry Hong in the final bout, with a score of 530.034 to 517.590.

This isn’t Jason’s first triumph with the game, as he is one of two people in the world to have completed Tetris with a perfect score of 999.999.

He received a total prize of $1.000 together with a huge, overcompensating trophy, handed by none other than Tetris creator, Alexey Pajitnov!
