The Beatles: Rock Band
News by Craig Bryan on Mar 07, 2009
It has been announced that Harmonix and MTV have teamed up once again to bring us The Beatles: Rock Band, which is coming to a store near you this September, the 9th to be exact, which makes it the 09/09/09 funnily enough. This is the first time in the groups’ history that their music has been licensed for such a thing.
There has been no confirmation as to what songs the game will feature, but when you have a catalogue of classics like these Liverpool lads do, then we should be in for a real treat. Here are just a few of the songs we may come to hear: Love Me Do, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Can’t Buy Me Love, A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Yellow Submarine, All You Need Is Love and Hey Jude.
The game will be available in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. Accessories will include the usual guitar, bass, microphone, and drums, with some even being modeled after the original instruments that the ‘Fab Four’ used. The game alone will cost $59.99, the guitar package will cost $99.99 and the Limited Edition Premium Bundle will cost a hefty $249.99. It is reported that all prior Rock Band instruments will be fully compatible.
