The Darkness II Is Now Available

2K Games releases The Darkness II today, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Internationally the game will be available February 10th. Developed by Digital Extremes, and based on the comic by Top Cow Productions, The Darkness II is the sequel to the 2007 hit. Sticking to its comic book origins, story will be told through a film noir comic book style.

 

In addition to a strong narrative, The Darkness II introduces a new four person co-op gameplay mode, as well as a new Quad-Wielding combat system. The Vendettas campaign is a new co-op campaign parallel to the main single player story. Four players, each with their own unique Darkness weapon, must work together as a team. Each individual plays a unique role in the Vendettas campaign, encouraging teamwork.

The new Quad-Wielding mechanic in the single player mode allows players to fire two guns while attacking enemies with their demon arms. Players can slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies while simultaneously firing upon them.
