The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Won't Follow the Same Zelda Formula
Expect big changes in Breath of the Wild

Feeling confident in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can skip ahead to the more challenging areas before collecting the requisite items.

The Legend of Zelda has a history of requiring players to travel through a specific set of dungeons, starting with nothing and building their inventory. Nintendo promises to change this formula, and instead, players will have complete freedom to explore the world of Hyrule.
“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild breaks boundaries for the franchise and for games as a whole,” Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime said in a statement. “Where you go, how you get there, the order in which you do it, and the items, weapons and approaches used to solve puzzles and defeat enemies are all up to you.”
The world is large, with over 100 Shrines of Trials across the game alone. Certain items will certainly allow you to reach locations faster and easier, but players can visit most of the locations at any time.
Players can take advantage of the region to survive longer. You can gather food to restore health, steal weapons from enemies, or collect items for temporary boosts. It seems that Breath of the Wild isn't going to be more of the same. Instead, it plans to revise the entire Zelda formula!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch on Wii U and NX in March 2017.
