Ubisoft Responses to Assassin's Creed Unity Issues by Giving Players Free DLC and Season Pass Holders a Free Game

Ubisoft giving Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass holders a free game and everyone else free DLC

Assassin’s Creed Unity players will be getting the upcoming DLC pack, Dead Kings, for free and Ubisoft have confirmed they'll be discontinuing the season pass, giving those who purchased it a free game of their choice. This includes The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Asssassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends or Just Dance 2015.

In response to the myriad of glitches inflicting Assassin’s Creed Unity CEO for Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, Yannis Mallet, stated “The launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity was highly anticipated moment for me and for our development teams around the world who dedicated a tremendous amount of energy, passion and skill to the game’s creation,”. “"Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential."

Since its release Unity has had hundreds of reported bugs ranging from minor issues to game-breaking problems. Ubisoft developers have released three major patches in responses to these problems, with the latest patch releasing today, hoping to fix the issues that many gamers are being plagued with.

Ubisoft has stated that they’re in the process of setting up a system for those who purchased the season pass to receive their free game, and has confirmed that season pass holders will still gain access to all the benefits including Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China for free.

Dead Kings has Arno traveling through the rural city of Saint Denis following the events of Unity in 1794. Arno will have to travel through the catacombs, using his lantern to fend off animals who reside within these areas, and solve intricate puzzles to uncover the secrets left behind by past French kings.
