The Nintendo Switch 2 has many different features that make it differ from the original Nintendo Switch, but it also has many similarities, including the rumble in the controllers. The rumble is included within the Joy-Con 2 and also the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, but each one has had many updates from the previous-generation controllers.
The Rumble feature that is on the Nintendo Switch 2 controllers helps you feel even more within the game than just playing it, because now you feel like you're in the game. While the rumble is a given feature for most games, there is a new issue popping up for some players where the feature is disabled, especially when playing the recently released Split Fiction on Switch 2.

Why Does Rumble Turn Off While Playing Split Fiction?
Rumble is disabled on all games after prolonged use. There were a couple of changes made to the Nintendo Switch 2 JoyCon 2's Rumble feature, including making them a lot quieter after complaints of the original's being too loud while gaming. With the new console, they cause less noise while enjoying gameplay.
With all that being said, there have been many reports of users of JoyCon or Controller Rumble being disabled in the middle of gameplay due to prolonged use. This is a new Nintendo Switch 2 feature that allows for the temporary disabling of the rumble feature to prevent the console from overheating or excessively draining the battery of the console.
This can also be connected to how some users have reported issues with their battery being drained quickly. Games like Split Fiction have a lot of action that utilizes rumble, even causing the console to overheat, which can trigger the disablement to take effect.
How To Fix The Disable Rumble Feature on Nintendo Switch 2
Here is how to turn the rumble feature back on when it is disabled. For users whose rumble is not working correctly, there is a way to fix it even while in the middle of gaming. You can do this by resetting the controller by pressing the SYNC button one single time and then pressing another button to power it on.
If the controller itself is not working correctly, and it is not due to the rumble being disabled for reasonable reasons, Nintendo offers an inspection service for controllers (including the stick draft) that are within the warranty period if the issue doesn't resolve itself.
