Wii Sports Tops Wedding Lists

The Nintendo console, it has been revealed, is one of the top 20 most popular items on couples’ wanted lists at retail store John Lewis.

The British newspaper, The Telegraph, are the ones who brought out the report, also stating that other tech gifts such as the iPod and flat-screen televisions also made the list.

Tracey Yates, the chief gift analyst at John Lewis stated that “Two years ago, the top 20 products on the Gift List were exclusively traditional items from linens, kitchenware, china and glass but, in the second half of last year, the Wii made it to the Top 20.”

Similar trends can be spotted at other major retailers, which strongly indicates were consumers money is now being spent.
