Settlements on the Coast

If you are starting, it's definitely advisable to stay near the coast. Coastal areas are ideal places to obtain food due to fishing, and they also serve as a natural defense. You can also build and grow your town in the open space along the shore, providing options for your base design.

Plan for the long term.

It's essential to stay afloat in the short term, but your foundation should also be prepared for long-term growth and stability. Leave the buildings, such as houses, barracks, and advanced production facilities. Moving later is less likely to happen if you plan, and your town can grow without any problems.
