Building a Compact Dual Intel ARC GPU System with Lossless Scaling Frame Generation
Dual Intel ARC GPUs in a compact form factor deliver efficient frame generation performance through lossless scaling and optimized hardware utilization.

The goal of putting two Intel ARC GPUs into a small device is to see how frame generation can improve performance in a small space. The setup uses both a high-end and a low-end GPU to share processing tasks through lossless scaling.
The building is meant to show the way performance may be improved without using high-end parts.

Parts and Setup for the Build
This design has an ASUS B560 micro-ATX motherboard with an Intel Core i5-11400F CPU with six cores and 12 threads. The M.2 SSD in the computer has 1TB of storage, while the DDR4 RAM has 16GB and runs at 3200MHz. The Intel ARC Pro B50 is the main GPU and has 16GB of VRAM.
The Intel ARC A310 is the auxiliary GPU and has 4GB of VRAM. The Pro B50 does most of the work, and the A310 is only for making extra frames with lossless scaling.
An App Eva 500W totally modular power supply gives the system its electricity. The construction fits inside a compact enclosure that works with both microATX and Flex power sources. The chassis had to be altered to fit both GPUs. A small section was cut off to create space for the second GPU slot.
The A310 is a low-profile card that fits into the lower PCIe slot. It only has one slot. It is held in place by a magnetic GPU support bracket.
Setting up and configuring software
Windows 11 Pro is the operating system that the system runs on. After you turn it on, install Intel's GPU drivers and set up lossless scaling for frame creation.
The Pro B50's default high-performance GPU is set in Windows settings to ensure that games primarily use the main GPU. The lossless scaling software that comes with the A310 handles frame generation. You can get it on Steam for about $7.
You choose the "LSFG 3.1" mode in the lossless scaling program. You can select the frame generation multiplier (2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x) and specify your GPU preference in the software. To use two GPUs, select the second GPU (A310) as the "Preferred GPU." The secondary GPU is also connected to the display output, ensuring frames are rendered correctly.
How well Cyberpunk 2077 runs
The Intel ARC Pro B50 alone yields approximately 48–53 fps at 1440p with the Extreme preset and XeSS set to Quality. By employing the A310 as a second GPU and lossless scaling, frame production doubles performance to roughly 90 fps with a 2x multiplier.
When you increase the multiplier to 3x, the framerate exceeds 150 fps. Still, there is noticeable input lag and some ghosting along the edges. At 2x scaling, the balance between visual quality and responsiveness remains better, resulting in smoother performance.

How well does God of War Ragnarok work
At 1440p severe settings, the B50 can play God of War Ragnarok at roughly 50 fps. The frame rate goes up into the top 90s when you turn on lossless scaling with a 2x multiplier. The frames made preserve the visual coherence and smoothness, which makes the frame rate seem like it's twice as fast without adding much input latency.
How well does Forza Horizon 5 work
The B50 runs Forza Horizon 5 at 1440p on high settings at an average of 57 to 62 fps. When lossless scaling is set to 2x, the frame rate goes above 120 fps. The game runs smoothly, and there isn't much input latency.
Frame generation generally slows down racing games, but the balance here makes it easy to play. The A310 makes frames without going over its 38W power restriction.
Testing Dual GPU Frame Generation
The small twin Intel ARC configuration demonstrates that utilizing two GPUs with lossless frame generation can substantially enhance performance. The Pro B50 does the main rendering, and the A310 adds frames quickly and easily. You can see performance improvements in many games, with frame rates that double or triple depending on the multiplier you choose.
A single, more powerful GPU would make setup easier. Still, the dual-GPU setup demonstrates how to maximize the potential of lower-end technology. When set up correctly, both GPUs make a big difference in overall performance. The build is still modest and useful, demonstrating how Intel ARC hardware can be utilized in small devices.

Final Thoughts
The experiment clearly shows that using two Intel ARC GPUs in a small PC can greatly improve performance by making frames without losing any data. The strategy works well to boost frame rates in demanding games while keeping the visuals and system performance consistent.
The method demonstrates how to leverage inexpensive hardware to achieve higher frame rates by employing optimized software techniques.
