Enshrouded Guide | How To Awaken The Farmer

This guide details how to awaken the Farmer, reach his vault, locate secret chests, and solve the vault puzzle.

If you follow these steps, you won't miss any important details, whether you're looking for rare items or new recipes.

How to Get to the Vault

To enter the Farmer Vault, first travel to the Springlands waypoint. From this point, locate the vault by looking past a nearby dark mass. Glide carefully over the terrain, avoiding the Shroud, and head towards the settlement of Ferndale.

After landing, continue directly through Ferndale. Along the way, you'll see a fixed anvil and other small items. Stay on the main road past Ferndale, where the entryway to the Farmer Vault will become visible ahead.

Golden Chest Location

Before solving the vault puzzle, descend into the lower chamber, avoid the lava pools, and boost your Stamina by eating and drinking.

The Golden Chest with valuable items is at the back. Open it before returning.

The Golden Chest with expensive items is at the back of the room. Get the things inside before going back to the main entrance door.

Dodge the electrical bolts and move toward the far side of the chamber to find and press the first switch.

Second Switch Location

Once the first switch is turned on, find the Respawn Sphere close by. Use the wall-mounted grab hooks to get across the gap as you jump.

When you get to the other level, press the second switch to keep the puzzle going.

Brown Chest #1 Location

On a rooftop inside the vault, find and open Brown Chest #1 for supplies.

Collect any supplies found inside before returning to the switch corridor to seek the final switch.

Brown Chest #2 Location

Go through the next doorway; be careful with your timing jumps to avoid the spinning spike traps.

Pause at the safe platform to open Brown Chest #2 and collect additional tools.

Third Switch Location

To reach the third switch, continue past the spike passage. When you press it, the last barrier comes down. Do not move forward immediately; more prizes await you.

Silver Chest #1 Location

Before proceeding to the Farmer chamber, enter the newly opened antechamber to the left. 

In the antechamber, open Silver Chest #1 for functional upgrades.

Silver Chest #2 Location

Return to the opening of the main vault and glide down the middle shaft. Go up the next set of steps to find a secret panel that is held in place by a hook.

Use Double Jump to reach the hidden room and open Silver Chest #2.

Farmer Awakening

Once all the switches are on and all the chests are gathered, glide into the Farmer's room. 

By interacting with the traditional pedestal, you can awaken the Farmer and receive new cooking recipes, such as Popcorn, Delicious Emily, and Frey.

The Farmer will now live in the town and be ready to share his cooking skills.
