Animal Hide is a fundamental resource in Enshrouded, especially vital during the early stages of survival. Securing a reliable supply can prove challenging until certain regions become accessible.
This guide shows you four practical ways to farm Animal Hide that will help you build and keep a healthy stash without having to take extra steps or guess.

Hunting Animals
This is the easiest way to get Animal Hide: hunt animals in your starting area. Beasts like Wolves and Goats tend to spawn a lot, which makes them great targets for repeated battles.
Players can get more hides throughout several battles by hunting these animals and killing them quickly. Pay attention to how packs act. Going after a group of animals lets you kill more in less time and improves your overall yield.

Looting Enemies
Particular hostile humanoid creatures—often resembling primitive cavemen or bestial warriors—also carry Animal Hide, both on their person and within nearby camps. These foes congregate around landmarks such as the Ancient Spire in the eastern region.
Fast-travel to the Spire and glide into the valley, where they spawn in groups. In each encounter, prioritize eliminating the magic-wielding caster first to prevent prolonged battles; once the healer falls, the remaining fighters can be dispatched quickly and looted for hides.

Looting Homes
Beyond on-person drops, these hostile groups maintain small encampments where Animal Hide is hung to dry. Exploring the camps yields free resources: Look for hanging racks or tables draped with rawhide and interact with them to add hides directly to your inventory.
Decorative-looking hide racks are legitimate loot points, so thoroughly investigate every building within the camp.

Dedicated Farming Location
One of the richest farming spots lies within an Ancient Vault near the eastern Ancient Spire. Venture into the Vault's lower chambers, where multiple hostile groups await. Employ the same strategy of targeting healers first to streamline the clear.
After dispatching foes, inspect their resting quarters and common areas: tables, racks, and floor piles throughout the Vault often hold multiple stacks of Animal Hide.
Players say they can get over thirty hides in a single run through this area, which makes it a great place to stop when you're running low on supplies. To get the most out of your schedule, remember to make revisits only after respawn timers have reset.
