The Alchemist is an important NPC for your settlement and character progression who will craft Spell Potions and even Armour that'll help you in your playthrough in Enshrouded.

Navigation from Ancient Spire

Start from the top of the Ancient Spire and fly towards the western side for the best gliding position. Jump off the tower and start gliding in the direction of your destination. If you notice a lack of stamina due to insufficient rest or water intake, consider taking short breaks and resting before proceeding in Enshrouded.

Approaching the Ancient Vault

This is a good place to set up base because it is close to valuable resources and situated ideally. Put down an Altar here once you've upgraded it from Stone to be a permanent fast-travel point in Enshrouded.

Whether you place your base at the vault or down at the settlement will be based on your overall strategy, but having the vault where it is gives you more direct access to the resources you'll be harvesting on a daily basis.

Clearing the Outer Perimeter

The Ancient Vault is similar to the other camps you've seen, but has a higher size and container density. As you move through the region, make sure to loot any containers that may provide Iron or Metal resources in Enshrouded.

Approach explosive devices with caution, as they may do a lot of damage, although basic evasion should avoid such a problem.

As you're on your way, you'll discover a chest inside one of the tents, which can have a wand inside.

Interior Dungeon Navigation

Once you have cleaned the outside areas, proceed up the staircase to reach the inside part of the vault. Be cautious of the opponents on the upper platforms, as they will try to kill you. Use the Explosive Barrels to your advantage against the enemies in Enshrouded.

Once inside the dungeon section, go left to find a door which, although not entirely invisible, does take some searching to spot. Go through this doorway, where you'll encounter additional enemies that you need to kill. Use backstabbing tactics and projectile combat where necessary and utilize the combat system's lock-on feature to kill enemies quickly.

Lower Level Exploration

Prior to going up to the final destination, head down to the lowest floor to pick up optional loot. Pick up any available Fire Bombs and approach the chest carefully, because it has a spike trap that activates when opened in Enshrouded.

Let the spikes come out from the ground, then take the path that they follow to avoid damage.

Upper Level Progression

Go up the stairs via either side corridor since both will take you to the same place. Proceed through the system of corridors to the middle chamber, where more enemies will spawn. Clear out all the enemies to proceed.

Rescuing the Alchemist

Head directly to The Alchemist in order to complete the rescue mission. This NPC is your second rescued NPC and unlocks Alchemical services that will assist you with higher-level crafting. Fast travel from the region or use regular portals in order to return to your base in Enshrouded.
