You can get the Morningstar in Gothic 1 Remake right at the start of the game before you even enter the camp or do any quests. Start your journey just outside the Old Camp near the main gates where Thorus stands.

Turn to your right and walk up the path. Pass the men standing by the cooking pot. A character named Sly might try to talk to you about a quest here, but you can just ignore him.

Keep moving until you hit a fork in the road. Take the path next to the thatched roof and run up the wooden planks.

Follow this path around because your goal is to sneak into a building by using the rooftops. Keep going until you reach a covered, underground section. Walk past the guard here and look for the shack on the left side.

Sneaking into the Building

Walk in front of this shack and locate the lower thatched roof. Drop down onto it and move across. Look to your left for the wooden beams that stick out from the structure.

Jump up toward these beams to climb over the edge. Walk straight into the room ahead of you and look to your right to find a Ladder. Climb all the way down to the bottom in Gothic 1 Remake.

Claiming the Weapon

The Morningstar is resting on the floor in this room. You can crouch down to pick it up. To exit the area, simply reverse your steps and go back up the way you came. Be careful not to fall on your way out so you do not take any damage.

This weapon requires 19 Strength to equip, but it deals 23 Blunt Damage, making it a very strong option for the early game. You can use it, or sell it for profit in Gothic 1 Remake.
