The Clawline is a unique Ability that allows you to launch yourself toward specific locations. This provides you with additional options for getting around during your adventure. To get the Clawline, you must carefully navigate through challenging areas.

Prerequisites

You need to get the White Key from the Songclave Place in the Coral Chambers before you can use the Clawline. Find this place and take the key with you; it will let you into the following areas, where you need to complete this quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Once you have the White Key, proceed to the designated location and use it to enter the Whiteward. Go into this area and make your way through its different parts until you reach the wall on the far right, which leads to the Underworks.

Navigating the Underworks

Your goal is in the Underworks, more especially on the right side. This part differs from the first Underworks area you may have seen earlier on your trip; that one was located on the left. You need to get to the Underworks on the right side, which are directly connected to Whiteward in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Start your quest from the bench here, where you can rest. From this starting point, go to the left and go down. You will come across a switch that needs to be turned on. Once you've turned on the switch, ride the wind current up and out the left-hand door.

Stay careful as you make your way through this area's enemies as you continue your fall. Your goal is to reach the lava platform at the bottom of the level. Land on this platform and try to stay away from the enemies that are patrolling the area.

From the fire platform, descend further and prepare to move to the right. You have to quickly get through this part while avoiding monsters and dangerous environments. Watch out for the platforms that disappear—they're gone as soon as you touch them, so timing your moves is critical. As soon as you reach the part where you can climb, jump to start moving up in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

As you move to the right side of this area, you will encounter a challenging section with moving platforms and lava hazards. Carefully plan your jumps to avoid the lava flows and make it across each stage. Maintain a steady pace by jumping over and over in this part.

Combat Encounters

As you move through this area, you will come across two enemies. You don't have to fight these enemies; you can just run past them if you'd rather not. As you move across the different platforms in this part, keep jumping and keeping your momentum.

Be careful as you move along the wall parts and ensure you stay in the correct position to avoid falling into hazardous areas. As soon as you reach the right climbing parts, move up in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Final Approach to the Clawline

Your journey will take you to a specific location on the map, but you must continue moving forward to reach your ultimate goal. You may see a Metal Shard in a lower area that you can collect, but you should get the Clawline first because it will make your movement much better and make future exploring easier in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Continue up until you reach the higher part, then proceed through the opening indicated. You'll find a parkour challenge in this area, featuring wooden stages that require precise timing and coordination.

To get across the wooden platforms, you'll need to do several jumps and Glide moves. To maintain proper distance and control, each move should begin with a hop and then transition smoothly into a glide. You need to complete this process several times, and on your last attempt, add a Dash at the very end to reach the platform with your reward in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Claiming Your Reward

When you reach the last level, you'll get the Clawline, which is a special ability. This tool is your Clawline, and the L2 button can be used to activate it. Once you have it, you can use this Ability to launch yourself toward any place you choose with the Clawline. This gives you many more ways to get around and new paths to explore throughout your adventure in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
