ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Opening Ceremony

Title says all. It was a memorable night for all the Bangladeshis. FYI India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh are jointly hosting this 10th edition of Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh had the pleasure to hold the Opening. Our Capital City Dhaka is very well furnished for the occassion. The Opening Ceremony took place tonight @6 PM local time & it was a fantastic 2:30 hrs program. The inaugural match between Bangladesh & India will be on the pitch on 19th. This was how the stadium look like at the Gala -

 

 

It was a show of culture, history & lots of music. This is how all the Skippers of 14 teams entered the stadium -

 

 

The ride is called "Rickshaw" here which needs no fuel at all & kinda 3-wheeler edition of bi-cycle.

 

Channel 9 Report: ICC Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony held at Dhaka registered a rating of 9.69 by IMG just behind the Beijing Olympics (9.78). Even the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony just received a rating of 9.58 !!

Last of all, Canadian Superstar Bryan Adams was here. He rocked at the end with only three of his numbers. It was short as he'll perform in an accoustic concert tomorrow. Here's a part of by him at the Gala -

Here's the full fixtures of the World Cup. It's less than a megabyte & it's MS excel file. So putting only the scores is enough, all the rest of the calculations (Net run rate, group standings, who will proceed in the further rounds, who will play whom etc) will be done by the file itself.
