This guide explains how to manage encounters with the bugs, known as Candy Weevils, and how to progress safely through the connected areas by using light sources effectively.

Using the Battery for Light

When you arrive at the room containing a glowing Battery in a wall Socket, remove it. Carrying the Battery will generate a small circle of light around you. This light is the only way to keep the Candy Weevils from surrounding you in Little Nightmares III.

Activating the Overhead Light

Take the Battery to the Socket on the far right side of the room. Insert it into the Socket to activate the overhead light. Once the light turns on, the Candy Weevils will disperse, clearing the area for you to continue forward.

Reaching the Vent Area

Proceed until you encounter another location where Candy and a Body are spilling out from a wall vent. Avoid passing directly by this vent to prevent the Candy Weevils from swarming. Instead, use the grate on the back wall to climb around it safely in Little Nightmares III.

Flipping the Lever

Once you have moved past the vent and reached the opposite side, interact with the lever there. Activating the lever will power another light, forcing the Candy Weevils to retreat once again and exposing a trap door for you to progress further in Little Nightmares III.
