Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Guide | Best Game Order

The cleanest way to play all seven versions without burning out

One of the most important things to think about in Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is where to start. The collection has all seven versions from the three main games, so the best way to play them is in an order that makes the story easy to follow and the mechanics grow at a natural pace. That usually means first release order and then clean up the version.

Begin with Star Force 1

Mega Man Star Force Pegasus, Mega Man Star Force Leo, or Mega Man Star Force Dragon are all good places to start. These versions add Geo Stelar, Omega-Xis, the early world setup, and the basic battle system. Even if later games seem faster or more flexible, the first game makes it easier to understand the rest of the collection.

Next, go to Star Force 2

Then, choose either Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Ninja or Mega Man Star Force 2 Zerker x Saurian. The second game builds on the first one and gives you more to play with, but it still feels like a direct next step. Instead of throwing out the structure completely, it builds on what the first game taught.

Finish with Star Force 3

Either Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace or Mega Man Star Force 3 Red Joker will do. This is the most precise version of the formula in the set. After the first two games, it feels better because you can really see how much cleaner and more powerful the systems get. That makes the last stretch feel like a reward instead of a jump.

Don't try all the versions at once

It's better to handle a full completion route in waves. First, play one version of each numbered entry. Once you know which mechanics and changes you like, come back for different versions. That keeps the collection interesting instead of boring, and it makes it easier to see the differences between the versions.
