Pathologic 3 Guide | How To Refill The Prototype

In Pathologic 3, the Prototype is a tool you need to stay alive when you enter districts filled with sickness. It lets you stop plague tornados, stun the Shabnak, and walk through dangerous spots without dying. 

This device will run out of power as you use it to clear paths or move through the town. You must learn how to keep it full so you are not left without protection when you are far from home.

How to Refill the Device

To put more power into your Prototype, you have to find three specific things. You need a Stimulant, which is usually Ox Bile. You also need an Anaesthetic, such as Novocaine. Finally, you must have a Toxin, which is most often Belladonna. 

Once you have one of each of these three items, you can head to the Stillwater. There is a machine on the ground floor in a room with many desks. You use this machine to fill your device just like you did when you first learned how to use it. 

You cannot load the Prototype anywhere else. If you have trouble seeing the machine because of the sheets in the room, use Concentration Mode to find it.

Finding the Necessary Items

You can find the parts you need in many spots across the town, but there is a way to get them every day. On Day 3, an Odongh will show up outside the Stillwater. You should talk to him and let him move inside. 

This is Khorkhoy, and he is a trader. You can always find Khorkhoy in the same room as the desks and the refill machine. He will have many of the ingredients you need for sale each day. It is smart to buy these from him and keep a stock ready for when you have to travel through areas where the plague is strong.
