From Day Four onward, your main job in Pathologic 3 is to figure out what's wrong with patients who have other ailments. These diseases impede the progress of the Sand Pest, and every time you make the right diagnosis, you help unlock a vaccine for the next day.
Vaccines lower the number of infections in the community and make subsequent days easier to handle. The pandemic becomes worse and your alternatives get fewer if you misdiagnose people or skip the process.
This guide tells you how to diagnose patients and gives you a complete, organized list of all the patients and their diseases so you can move forward with confidence.

How to Diagnose Patients
The first thing you should do when you start examining patients is to write down all of their symptoms. You do this by talking to the patient, looking for indicators of illness on their photograph, and giving them a physical checkup.
You must choose the possible symptoms in your casebook as you find them. After then, you should talk to the patient about each symptom directly. Any symptom that opens up additional conversations is a sign that it is real and should stay in your working diagnosis.
You compare the symptoms to known diseases once they have been confirmed. If only one disease fits all of the proven symptoms, that diagnosis is usually right. But in a lot of cases, you'll only be able to limit it down to two or three diseases. You have to use biological samples when it happens.
Biological sampling works by finding out which organs are sick and which ones are still healthy. These organ patterns are shown in each disease description. You can find out which sickness is present by taking a sample from the right portion of the body and getting rid of the wrong ones.
Hospital work alone can't always tell what is wrong with a patient. In these situations, talking will show that more research is needed. When this happens, a marker will show up on your map to show you where to go. These examinations give us further proof that either supports or rules out the symptoms. If you don't follow these steps, you will get the wrong diagnosis and waste resources.
