Pathologic 3 Guide | How to Diagnose The Herb Bride

In Pathologic 3, your medical journey starts with a task that teaches you how to investigate patients. This first case involves a dancer and helps you understand how to use interviews and exams to find the truth. By the time you finish this assignment, you will know how to handle the many life-or-death choices that come later in the story.

Finding the Patient

You begin this work before you even have a building for your practice. To start the Vlad's Experiments thought, you must travel to the Factory district and enter Andrey's Pub. You can find this location easily by checking your Map or using Concentration Mode. 

Once you are inside, talk to Andrey Stamatin at the bar to hear about a girl who is performing while using a strange medicine from the steppe. After you finish talking to him, you can approach the Herb Bride to start your interview.

Identifying the Symptoms

Your talk with the dancer is a lesson in how to spot signs of illness. You must check your Casebook by looking at the corner of your screen and select the symptoms that match her words. She will not use medical terms, so you have to listen for mentions of a fast heart or trouble moving her body. 

Eventually, you will move into a physical exam where you use Inspection Mode. This will let you see the thoughts of Daniil as he notices a Rapid Pulse, a Rash, or Insect Bites. You should not spend time looking at her arms or legs because there is nothing to find there. After you click the symptoms in your Casebook, talk to her one more time to ask specific questions about what you found.

Reporting the Diagnosis

Once you have all the information, you can decide what is wrong with her. Even though she does not seem very weak, the signs point to Lymphotonitis. You should lock this choice in so you can move forward with the story. 

To finish the quest, speak with Andrey again and then head to the Town Hall to tell Saburov what you discovered. Completing this task will allow you to start the next part of the story on Day 3, where you finally establish a Hospital.
