Here's a guide on how to get Amalgam in Pathologic 3.

Time is not a convenience you can depend on easily in Pathologic 3. It is a system you have to control. You can go back to past days as Daniil Dankovsky, fix mistakes, and act on information you didn't have before.
This power depends entirely on Amalgam, a limited resource that controls whether you can move forward, go back, or even recover from death. If you fail to maintain it, the game ends permanently. Understanding what Amalgam is and how you obtain it is essential to surviving the later days of the plague.

What Amalgam Does
Amalgam stands for the parts of Daniil Dankovsky's mind that are still whole. It looks like hollow pieces that fill up as you get more of it. Soon after the lesson, you are shown this system and given clear instructions on how to use it.
You can only store Amalgam in these unbroken mental segments, and once they are full, any additional gain is wasted. If you die while holding no Amalgam, the game triggers a final recovery opportunity by returning you to the mirror room, where you can attempt to refill your supply. After this single chance, any further death results in a permanent Game Over.
Every time you change days, Amalgam is consumed. This applies even when moving forward in time. You cannot advance a day by sleeping, and there is no alternative method that avoids the cost. Amalgam is also spent whenever you reload after dying from damage or a heart attack. In effect, it functions as both a time-travel fuel and the cost of loading a save.
Breaking Mirrors
One of the most consistent ways to gain Amalgam is by breaking mirrors. You are taught this mechanic in the mirror room after Day Five, but mirrors appear throughout the town long before and after that point. Whenever you find one, you should break it unless your Amalgam storage is already full.
Mirrors are not fixed to specific locations. They can appear in places where none existed on earlier days and may show up again on later visits. Staying alert and checking interiors regularly ensures you do not miss them.
Completing Thoughts On The Mind Map
Your Mind Map keeps track of your busy thoughts, which work a lot like quests. Finish some thoughts, preferably ones that take you back in time or make you think of better times. This will give you Amalgam.
These rewards are not guaranteed for every completed thought, but they are common enough that consistently resolving tasks on the Mind Map plays a major role in maintaining your supply.

Ending A Day With Eva
At the end of each day, once the clock reaches 2:00 AM, you can go to Stillwater and speak with Eva. Doing this properly marks the end of the day and grants you a fixed reward of 100 Amalgam.
This interaction can only be done once per individual day. Resetting time and repeating the same day does not allow you to claim the reward again. Because of this, you should always make sure to speak with Eva before leaving a day behind.
Helping The Infected Die
In infected districts, you may encounter people who are beyond saving. You can earn Amalgam by helping these individuals reach a painless death. To keep their heart rate in a certain range during this process, you will need to carefully use drugs from your stock.
If you fail to keep their heart rate under control, the attempt backfires and deals damage to Daniil Dankovsky instead. Because of this risk, you should only attempt this method when you have a clear understanding of the timing and enough medical supplies to correct mistakes.
