This guide explains how to acquire Mega Heracross and the Heracronite, as well as provides key information about its stats, abilities, weaknesses, and form changes.
Obtaining the Heracronite
To unlock Mega Heracross, you need to collect the Heracronite. You can acquire this Mega Stone by trading 240 Mega Shards at the Quasartico Inc. Headquarters. The exchange counter is located inside the facility, where players can trade Mega Shards for corresponding Mega Stones.
You can find Mega Shards scattered around Lumiose City. These bits show up in groups that look like crystals and can be broken apart to get the pieces. Break these groups of trees all over the city until you have the number you need. Go back to Quasartico Inc. with the 240 Mega Shards and trade them in for the Heracronite.
Mega Heracross Overview
Mega Heracross is a Bug/Fighting-type Pokémon. After Mega Evolution, it gains enhanced battle stats and retains the same type combination. Once it has been Mega Evolved, the in-game Pokédex has full information on its main stats, learnable moves, and powers.

Recommended Natures and Moveset
When using Mega Heracross, you can optimize its performance by selecting the right nature and moveset. Refer to your game’s data or Pokédex entry for guidance on which natures best complement its physical attack-focused stats.
Building a balanced moveset allows you to utilize both Bug- and Fighting-type techniques effectively.
Learnset and Related Information
Mega Heracross's learnset stays true to its base form and lets you use a variety of powerful moves. In the Pokémon overview page, you can look over its whole learnset. For more information on similar evolutions and Mega forms, look at the trade board or Pokédex in the game.

Additional Notes
Quasartico Inc. functions as the main trading hub for Mega Stones within the game. You can visit the building to exchange different quantities of Mega Shards for various Mega Evolution items, such as the Heracronite for Mega Heracross or other stones for different Pokémon.
Exploring Lumiose City thoroughly and locating all available Mega Shard clusters will help you gather the resources needed for Mega Evolution.
