Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Guide | How to Find Authentic Sinistea
Spot the real Sinistea by checking for the hidden stamp, then reset spawns until you get one.

Getting an authentic Sinistea in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet is all about patience and a quick visual check. The authentic form is rare, and most spawns are the phony version.
The good news is that you can confirm the real one in seconds once you know exactly where to look on its body, so you do not waste time guessing.
How To Tell Authentic Sinistea From The Phony One
When you find a Sinistea, walk around it and look at its back. Then angle your camera slightly upward so you can see the underside area clearly. The authentic form has a small stamp mark. If you do not see that mark, it is the phony form. This simple check is the whole method, so make it a habit every time you see one.

Farm Spawns By Clearing Out Sinistea
Since most Sinistea are not authentic, the fastest loop is clearing them to force new spawns. Once you confirm a Sinistea is phony, knock it out quickly and keep moving. You can use your Pokémon to destroy them fast, so the area refreshes and another one can spawn in. Then repeat the stamp check again.
Best Search Route And Why It Works
On the route shown, the authentic Sinistea appeared in around 30 to 40 minutes. That is normal, so do not assume you are doing something wrong if it takes time. The key is to stay consistent and check the same general area repeatedly, rather than wandering too far.
One spot may feel empty for a while, then suddenly produce results on a second pass. If you search one side and see nothing, loop back and re-check the second nearby spot shown in the route. This helps because spawns can shift slightly between checks, even when you are in the same general zone.

What An Authentic Sinistea Looks Like In The Wild
When you finally find one, it will look normal at first, which is why the stamp check matters. The difference is not obvious from the front.

The only reliable confirmation is turning it around and spotting the stamp mark. Once you see it, start the encounter right away and catch it so it does not get lost in the next spawn cycle.
