Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Guide | Where to Find Frigibax and Evolve into Baxcalibur
Use a quick Dragon Encounter Power boost to find Frigibax fast, then evolve it into Arctibax and Baxcalibur by leveling.
Game Guide by Jubair Baky on Mar 09, 2026
If you are hunting Frigibax, the hardest part is simply getting it to show up. It lives in the mountain snow, prefers deep snow and cave-like areas, and is rarely seen. The good news is you can speed up the search a lot by boosting Dragon encounters before you start scanning the mountain.
Use A Dragon Encounter Sandwich For Faster Spawns
Before heading into the snow, go to the sandwich shop that sells a Dragon Encounter Power upgrade. This is shown as a level 1 Dragon Encounter option that costs 1500. Buying it is the quick method if you do not want to build a sandwich yourself. The effect lasts about 30 minutes, giving you a solid window to search the mountain efficiently.

Where To Find Frigibax In The Snowy Mountain
The habitat spread shows Frigibax across the mountain region, but the suggested approach is to start at a specific snowy location and search the surrounding area.
With the Dragon Encounter Power active, Frigibax can appear very quickly, even within seconds, so it is worth popping the boost first instead of doing a long dry search. Once you spot it, approach and start the encounter as normal to catch it.

How To Evolve Frigibax Into Arctibax
After you catch Frigibax, evolve it into Arctibax at level 35. If you catch a high-level one, you may skip the grind. The example catch is at level 40, so the first evolution occurs immediately after a level check. Either way, the requirement is level 35 for the first evolution.

How To Evolve Arctibax Into Baxcalibur
To reach the final form, level Arctibax to level 54. This is a bigger jump, so it may take a while.

Raids are mentioned as a practical way to gain levels faster if you want to push to the final evolution without a long wild-battle grind. Once it hits level 54, it evolves into Baxcalibur.
