Deino is one of those Pokémon that can feel annoying to track down if you roam without a plan. It does have an early spot, but the spawn is much more consistent when you boost encounters. With the right cave and a simple food buff, you can make Deino show up almost immediately and catch it without wasting time.

Go To The Earliest Deino Cave Spot

The earliest location is in a small square area on the bottom-right side of the map. The key detail is that Deino is inside a cave. When you reach the swirl-shaped section on the map, look for the cave entrance inside that area and go in. Deino can spawn right there once you are in the correct cave.

Use Dragon Encounter Power For Faster Spawns

To make Deino appear faster, use a food buff that gives Encounter Power: Dragon Level 1. This method is strong because it pushes more Dragon-type spawns into your area, which can make Deino pop up instantly once you enter the cave.

You can do this with a sandwich, but you do not have to cook anything if you do not want to. The route uses a shop purchase instead, which is faster and easier.

Where To Buy Dragon Encounter Food

If you do not want to make a sandwich, buy the Dragon encounter food from a shop in the general area shown on the route. Once you buy it, eat it right away, then head straight back into the cave. With Dragon Encounter Power Level 1 active, Deino can appear almost instantly.

Catch Deino And Check The Level

After Deino spawns, start the encounter and catch it like normal. In the route shown, Deino appears at Level 36, so be ready for a stronger catch than early-route Pokémon. If your team is lower level, weaken it carefully and use stronger balls to secure it faster.
