Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Guide | Where to Find Heracross
Track down Heracross in one of two late-game areas, then catch it fast before it wanders off.
Game Guide by Monarch on Feb 28, 2026
Heracross is not an early catch in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It only appears in two locations, and both spots are high-level, so you will need some progress before you can safely grab one. Once you reach the correct zone, the hunt becomes simple.
The key is getting into the right landscape and scanning the area, because Heracross can walk around in the open.
Heracross Spawns In Only Two Locations
Heracross is only found in two places, and both are high-level zones. That means this is a late-game pickup, not something you can add right after starting. When you are ready, choose the location that is closest to a flying point to save time, then ride into the nearby wilderness and begin searching.
Best Location To Start With
The easiest location to use is the one on the right side of the map because it is closer to a flying location. Fly in, then move out from the landing point and enter the nearby field. This route reduces travel time, so it is usually the best option if you just want Heracross quickly.

What The Correct Area Looks Like
Once you arrive, look for an area with many thin trees and stick-like trunks. This kind of terrain is the main visual sign that you are in the correct spot. When you are in this tree-filled zone, Heracross can start wandering around at any moment, so slow down and scan the open ground between the trees.

How To Confirm The Exact Spawn Zone
When you spot Heracross, open your map immediately and note its position. The spawn is not a single tiny point. It is a larger area, and Heracross can appear across the entire zone. If you do not see one at first, keep riding small loops through the same patch of trees until it shows up.
