PRAGMATA Guide | Boss Fight Tips

The best boss fight habits for handling heavy pressure and long damage windows.

Boss fights in PRAGMATA are like regular fights, but you have to be much more careful about timing. Once the arena gets smaller and the target hits harder, clean movement, calm hacking, and smart spending on special weapons become much more important. The safest way to go is to think of each boss as a rhythm test instead of a race to do damage.

Don't just bring resources; have a plan

The Shelter is where a strong boss fight begins. It's more important to have the right loadout, enough hacking support, and a clear idea of which weapon will be your burst option than to carry every strong tool at once. It's usually better to have a simple plan before the fight than to try to make things up as you go along.

Keep your hacking windows safe

The worst thing you can do in a boss fight is to get scared during the setup. Hacking still opens up chances for damage, so movement and spacing should be used first to keep that from happening. As soon as the armor is open or the weak point is revealed, act quickly and make the most of the window. A rushed hack that doesn't do much damage is often worse than waiting one more beat.

Only use burst tools when you know there's an opening

When the boss is already weak, breakable weapons are the most useful. The best part of the loadout is wasted if you use them when the armor is closed or the arena is still unstable. To stay alive, move around; to make the opening, hack; and only then choose the heavy damage option.

Make sure the fight is easy to read

Once the pace is slowed down, long boss fights are much easier. One safe pattern, one clean hack, and one good damage conversion at a time should be your focus. That way, you don't overcommit, and the fight stays under control even when the show gets bigger.
