Radeon Adrenalin 26.2.2 Brings FPS Gains and Stability Updates
Adrenalin software interface improvements enhance responsiveness following recent structural changes since version 26.1.

The WHQL signature on the AMD Adrenalin 26.2.2 drivers means that Microsoft and AMD have both approved them. The versioning is easy to understand: 26 stands for 2026, 2 for February, and the last 2 for the second revision released that month.
FSR4.1 is not one of these drivers. They come with Redstone FSR version 4.0.3. Version 26.3.1 is planned to bring FSR4.1, which would be a year after the RX 7000 series and FSR4 were released.

Support for New Games
The 26.2.2 drivers include support for the games Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon. That's all the new games that are included in this release.
Problems Fixed
Now let's talk about the problems that this version fixes. While playing Roblox Player Cars Racing and Drifting, switching between media on Radeon RX 7000 series products could cause an application to crash or a driver to time out. This problem had been going on for a while, but it is finally fixed.
Another fix addresses texture flickering or corruption that can occur when you use Windows desktop apps with Instant Replay and Record Desktop turned on on AMD RX 7000 series products. The official release notes say these are the two fixes available.
Problems That Are Known
There are still a few known problems. If you have path tracing turned on in Cyberpunk 2077, your game may crash, or your driver may time out from time to time when you load a saved game. AMD is working hard to find a solution. This problem has been going on for months and still isn't fixed.
Another problem reported is that Battlefield 6 crashes, or the driver times out, while playing on the Ryzen AI 9 AX 370. In our experience, this happens only sometimes, not all the time.
When you play Battlefield 6 with AMD Record and Stream turned on, some AMD graphics cards may also show texture flickering or corruption. The description doesn't say which models are affected.
When playing Yakuza Kiwami 3, Dark Tides, Call of Duty Black Ops 7, and Resident Evil Requiem on RX 9000 series products, FSR upscaling and FSR frame generation may not work in AMD Adrenalin Software. When we tested the RX 7900 XT with both the 26.2.1 and 26.2.2 drivers, FSR upscaling was turned on.
Changes to the Interface and Performance of the Software
The Adrenalin software is running smoother and faster. The translucent UI elements were removed starting with version 26.1, improving the program's responsiveness. The program feels even more responsive in version 26.2.2 than in older versions.
How well Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon work
We used the 26.2.2 drivers to test Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon. Both games ran at a greater frame rate than the last version. Marathon had better 1% lows, while Resident Evil Requiem had better average fps. Supported games see performance improvements.
Status of Noise Suppression
Since the 25.12.1 drivers, the last version that worked well, noise suppression has been reported not to work. We suggest testing noise suppression on 26.2.2 because AMD often addresses problems without explicitly noting them in the release notes. In earlier releases of the driver, brightness control for laptops was addressed without any notes; thus, this might be the case here as well.

FSR Over-the-Air and Frame Generation Settings
The software lets you get FSR updates over the air. You can either install FSR or use the one that came with the driver. This lets you get updates for FSR upscaling and machine learning frame creation over the air.
The graphics settings have FSR upscaling enabled by default. Still, FSR machine learning frame generation is not. It's unclear whether this is related to known compatibility issues in some games.
Final Thoughts
The 26.2.2 drivers seem stable after extensive testing. We saw better fps in Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon, and the software interface was also more responsive. Fixing the noise suppression would make the bundle even better. Testing shows, the drivers are working as they should and can be installed for supported games.
