In Soulmask, you cannot tame adult animals. You must focus on finding and catching the baby versions instead. Using your Scanner helps you spot these small creatures as you explore the area in Soulmask.

Building a Home for Your Animals

Before you catch anything, you must set up a place for them to live. For Turkeys, you need to craft a Turkey Coop. This large structure gives them a safe place to stay.

You can usually find a Baby Turkey near the adult ones. If you see big Turkeys, keep checking back until a baby appears. Once you see one, you are ready to set your trap nearby.

How to Use the Small Trap

Setting a trap takes a bit of patience. Place your Small Trap down a short distance away from the animal and then find a place to hide. You have to load the trap with bait to make it work. A Locust is a great choice for this.

You can find Locusts by gathering Shrubbery, and using a high-quality Scythe gives you a better chance to find them. Put the insect in the trap and stay out of sight so you do not scare the Baby Turkey. It will walk into the trap on its own, and then you can run over to collect it in Soulmask.

Feeding and Breeding Your Livestock

Take your new Baby Turkey back to the Turkey Coop and place it inside. As it grows, you should try to catch more. Once you have a male and a female, they will start to breed. This means you will have a constant supply of animals without needing to catch more.

Just make sure they stay fed and hydrated. You can put food into the Trough for them. They will eat the Grasshoppers automatically whenever they feel hungry in Soulmask.
