Maintaining a well-supplied base in Soulmask can feel like a never-ending task. Fortunately, automation offers a way to automate things.
Windmills, power ropeways, and power mines – these three components work together, moving resources over long stretches and speeding up operations within your base. This setup allows your Tribesmen to handle the labor, freeing you to concentrate on other priorities.
Getting Started with the Tech
Before you can begin construction, you'll need to acquire the necessary blueprints.
Navigate to the Knowledge and Technology menu, then find the Bronze Pit Bonfire section within Soulmask.
The Production Base tab features the Windmill, the Wooden Windmill Blade, the Power Extension Shaft, the Power Ropeway, and the Power Mine. The Windmill Technique can be found just beneath the Iron Pit Bonfire as you progress through the game. This allows you to craft more efficient Metal Windmill Blades.

Setting Up Your Windmill for Power
The Windmill is the heart of your automation network. You must place the Windmill Base first and then attach the Windmill Blades on top.
The amount of power generated depends on the wind in your specific location. For example, some areas might give you 150 Power, while higher spots like a roof could reach 180 Power.
To connect power to your machines, use a Power Extension Shaft or simply place Power Ropeways close to each other.
You can check the power levels by looking at the machine; if a Power Ropeway needs 200 Power and you only have 150, you will need to add another Windmill to the circuit in Soulmask.
Building and Using Power Ropeways
Power Ropeways are used to carry both items and players. You can place a standalone Power Ropeway or use an Extension Pole if you need to reach a high cliff. Once two stations are powered and connected, a rope will appear between them.

You can ride these ropes to get around your base. If the rope is too high to grab, stand near the base and press E to choose "Board Right" or "Board Left." This is a great way to travel between different levels of a large base.
To prevent your structures from breaking down, ensure at least one end of your ropeway line is within the range of a Bonfire in Soulmask.
Automating Resources with Power Mines
The real strength of this system is the Power Mine. These must be placed directly on a resource vein. While the mine itself does not require power to extract items, it needs a connection to a Power Ropeway to send those items back to your base.
To make the mine work, you must assign a Tribesman to work at that location. In the Item Transfer Settings, you can tell the mine to send all gathered items to a specific Ropeway Base at your main camp. You can even set a timer, such as every 30 minutes, for automatic delivery.

Tips for a Smooth Supply Line
When setting up your lines, be very careful about the environment. If a tree grows back in the path of the rope, it will knock you off when you try to ride it.
However, transported items do not have a physical "mesh," so they will pass right through trees without stopping. If you find a rock or tree is blocking your path, use the "Relocate" feature to shift your Power Ropeway slightly.
You can also use this system to send supplies out to your workers. If your Tribesman at the mine needs food or repair tools, you can put those items into the Ropeway Base at your main camp and select "Transport Supplies" to send them down the line.
As long as the "Receive Box" at the other end is set up correctly, your workers will automatically take what they need to stay productive in Soulmask.
